Hello FRBA Members,

We’re excited to share some news and updates from the Front Range Boxing Academy!

🥊 New Classes This Spring

We’re introducing six new classes this season!

• Felice Borden has started teaching a Youth Boxing Class every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:25 PM to 5:25 PM.

• Abdul Ghiasi will soon begin teaching classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

🎓 Congratulations, Professor Borden!

Professor Mark Borden—long-time FRBA member, former amateur boxer, and valued member of our board of advisors—has been inducted into the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineers (AIMBE). This is an incredible honor and a testament to his contributions to the field. Congratulations, Mark!

🥇 Tournament News – Colorado Golden Gloves

Front Range Boxing had four entrants in this year’s Colorado Golden Gloves tournament:

• Nick Chappelle and Curtis Slone made strong amateur boxing debuts.

• KJ Pineda won the 165lb State Champion title, following two impressive fights.

• Peyton Pacheco claimed the 189lb State title via walkover—nobody stepped up to challenge him!

🕊 In Memoriam: Mike O’Flaherty

On a somber note, we lost Mike O’Flaherty, a cherished member of our Wednesday Parkinson’s Class. Mike was a hard worker, a kind soul, and a joy to train. He loved nature, people, and the camaraderie of the gym. He will be deeply missed.
